Conference Venue

Conference venue: The Australian National University

Our conference venue is the Australian National University (ANU) which is located in the inner city suburb of Acton, adjacent to Canberra's City Centre (or Civic). The main campus of the ANU extends across 358 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped with university buildings, enhanced by Sullivans Creek, and bordered by native Australian bushland. ANU offers an incredibly serene and green environment right in the heart of Canberra.

The conference will be held in the Marie Reay Teaching Centre (Building 155) which is right at the heart of the ANU campus with the city and lots of wonderful eateries within walking distance.

The Marie Reay Teaching Centre is the white building to the right looking down University Avenue towards Canberra City. The main venue for the conference is on the top floor of this building - Level 6.

The building on the left houses the Kambri Cinema. The Welcome Drinks will be held in the foyer is this building, just outside the cinema on Wednesday 3 June 2026. The hypothetical event will be held in the cinema after the Welcome Drinks. There is parking beneath this building. The space between the two buildings is a pedestrian walkway so the nearest taxi or Uber drop off points will be at the intersection of North Road and University Avenue (about 50 metres walk) or on Marcus Clark Street (about 700 metres walk).
