Dr Anne Wyatt is an occupational health and safety professional who specialises in psychological safety at work, especially in relation to unacceptable workplace behaviours such as bullying, harassment, and violence. With over forty years in the field as an academic, adviser to industry and policy makers, mediator, educator, trainer and expert witness, Anne has always balanced the theoretical and practical aspects of her career, dividing her time between academic and workplace settings. In 1985 she was the founding editor of the CCH journal, originally titled Journal of Occupational Health and Safety (Australia and New Zealand). In addition to a background in nursing and psychology, Dr Wyatt holds a Master Degree in Occupational Health, a Doctorate in Occupational Health and Safety and a Graduate Diploma in Criminology, all from Sydney University, Australia. She has prepared scores of expert opinion reports in the areas of workplace bullying and violence and has given expert witness evidence in District and Supreme Courts. Anne has published a number of peer-reviewed journal articles and co-authored the seminal work 'Preventing Workplace Bullying: An evidence based guide for managers and employees' (2011) with Dr Carlo Caponecchia, published in Australia by Allen and Unwin and in the UK by Routledge. Anne's work - especially her co-authored book—has had lasting influence in Australian workplace policy, HR practice, and OHS frameworks.
